Whatever fantasies I may have harbored about being an SAS bloke have been destroyed by this account by somebody that's been there. It's apparently lots of boredom, punctuated with terror, extreme discomfort and lots of pain.
Good writing and very descriptive language. Well plotted, good dialogue. An interesting read. I would like to know what bits were from Ryan's experience, from the experiences of his mates, and which were extrapolation.
