The strength of these two books is their charming, sweet drawings by the wonderful Chih-Yuan Fen. Mimi Says NO is almost--but not quite--a wordless books. The story arcs work, although the writing itself is not at the same level: both have the hint of the didactic to it, although only a whiff.
The format of these books is interesting and different, in that they are smaller than the average picture book and still wider than an early reader.
Recommending them for little readers, with a slight edge towards Mimi Says NO
